When my couples therapy clients A refers their friend couple B to me, then couple B refers their friend couple C to me, and couple C tells me that I am a great couples counselor, it rings a bell for me- I am good at Couples counseling!
90% of my couples clients share these traits:
They are VERY DIFFERENT from each other: mixed-race, interracial, mixed-cultural background, earning capacity varies;
One or more is neuro-divergent;
High-conflict;
Multiple partners involved; ENM; Open relationship/marriage.
The rest of my 10% is court-related:
Court-referred reunification family therapy;
Court-referred co-parenting counseling/child custody mediation;
Self-referred co-parenting counseling/child custody mediation.
